The research employed a qualititative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants involved were students and teachers at SMAN 1 Cikeusal. A total of six students as main informants and three teacher as supporting informants. The result of this research show that limited face-to-face learning has meaning for students as self-formation in restoring academic abilities, skills, and attitudes amidst situations leading to “learning loss” or the decline of academic abilities, skills, and attitudes after normal learning activitieswere suspended. This research utilizes George H. Mead’s Symbolic Interactionism theory.
