description: This research was aimed to know the effect of concentration and duration of soaking with banana bulb extract and the interaction of the two on the viability of expired tomato seeds. This research was carried out at the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University from March until April 2024. The research used a factorial Randomized Completely Design (RCD) consisted of two factors. The first factor was the concentration of banana bulb extract (P) consisted with 4 levels, namely: Aquades (P0), 15% Banana Bulb Extract (P1), 25% Banana Bulb Extract (P2), and 35% Banana Bulb Extract (P3). The second factor was duration of soaking (L) consisted of 3 levels, namely: 3 hours (L1), 6 hours (L2), and 9 hours (L3). The combination of these two factors was repeated 3 times so therewere 36 experimental units. The results showed that the factors of 25% banana bulb extract concentration had the best effect, namely on the parameters of maximum growth potential (87.56%), germination power (84.56%), germination rate (3.31 seed/days), and percentage of seed growth (83.78%). The soaking time had no significant effect on all parameters. There was an interaction between the concentration factor with the duration of soaking on the parameters of maximum growth potential and germination power.
