Not everyone possesses critical thinking skills to address the negative impacts of media. Media literacy education programs are one of the efforts to foster critical thinking skills, implemented in various countries, including Indonesia. Aksara Institute has emerged as a nonprofit organization focusing on the development and training of journalism and media. Aksara Institute’s media literacy education program, known as KDLM (Kelas Daring Literasi Media), is conducted online via new media. The KDLM program has been consistently implemented since 2020. This study employs the concepts of new media, virtual communication, and James M. Jasper’s strategic action theory. A qualitative approach is used, with a case study method and a constructivist research paradigm. The aim of this research is to understand how the media literacy movement is carried out in virtual spaces. The findings reveal that the platforms used in Aksara Institute’s media literacy movement include the Instagram account @aksarainstitute and the Zoom video conferencing application. The goal of the media literacy movement is to educate participants to become wise media consumers and to teach them how the media operates. The messages in this literacy movement consist of media literacy education materials, focusing on journalistic topics, and are delivered through virtual communication, video conference, text messages, and symbols (icons). date: 2023 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/1/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_FULL%20TEXT.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/4/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_02.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/2/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_CP.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/3/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_01.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/5/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_03.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/6/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_04.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/7/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_05.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/8/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_REF.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/43584/9/FUJI%20MEGA%20UTAMI_6662170077_LAMP.pdf identifier: MEGA UTAMI, FUJI (2023) LITERASI MEDIA PADA LEMBAGA PENDIDIKAN JURNALISME NON-FORMAL AKSARA INSTITUTE (Studi Kasus pada Kelas Daring Literasi Media (KDLM)) SKRIPSI.
