description: This research raises the issue of the low interest in becoming a teacher among young  people, including students. The aim is to analyse the factors that influence their  interest in becoming teachers in the Sociology Education Study Program at Sultan  Ageng Tirtayasa University.  This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population  of this study were 218 respondents with a sample of 142 respondents. While the  sampling technique uses a proportionate stratified random sampling approach. The  data collection technique used was a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using  descriptive analysis techniques.  The results showed that the interest in becoming a teacher in students of the Sociology  Education Study Programme, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Sultan  Ageng Tirtayasa University was in the interested category with a percentage in the  2020 batch of students, namely 62%, in the 2021 batch of students, namely 72%, and  in the 2022 batch of students, namely 52%. The highest indicator in the class of 2020  is the affective aspect indicator 67%, the class of 2021 the cognitive aspect indicator  62%, and the class of 2022 the social environment indicator 58%. The results showed  that the factors that influence the interest in becoming a teacher for students of the  Sociology Education Study Program at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University are in the  indicators of cognitive aspects, conation aspects and the social environment with the  implementation of Theory of Planned Behaviour.
