Corn husk is a good option as a natural fiber for composite filler because it has a porous, strong and lightweight structure based on research conducted. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of functional groups in particleboard using FTIR testing and the effect of water exposure on particleboard reinforced with corn husk fiber and sengon wood using hardness testing using a shore D durometer. The composition of the composite board contains 25% PV Ac adhesive, 10% epoxy resin, 32.5% corn husk fiber, and 32.5% sengon wood powder. The tests to be carried out include FTIR tests, hardness tests, and flexural strength tests according to SNI 03-2015-2006. From the research results, it is known that the K60, K80, and K100 samples have similar bonds and functional groups, with variations in intensity and wave peaks in the samples, and there are O-H, C-H, C=O, C=C, and C-O bonds.
