N1  - Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan kode etik jurnalistik oleh wartawan dalam tayangan berita kriminal di channel youtube Banten News. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tindakan wartawan dalam memperoleh berita, pemahaman wartawan Banten News dalam kode etik jurnalistik dan sanksi yang diberikan ketika wartawan melanggarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan didukung oleh Teori Tindakan Sosial Max Weber dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap lima jurnalis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wartawan Banten News memahami bahwa terdapat kode etik jurnalistik yang wajib dipatuhi. Kedua, wartawan Banten News menjadi wartawan yang mengunggah informasi secara cepat dan aktual, sehingga cenderung mengabaikan kode etik jurnalistik. Ketiga, wartawan Banten News secara tindakan sosial dipengaruhi oleh faktor kebiasaan dan budaya organisasi yang sudah lama diterapkan dalam memproses sebuah berita, sehingga pengetahuan terhadap kode etik jurnalistik tidak secara komprehensif diberlakukan dalam setiap pemberitaannya, dan belum berdampak terhadap sanksi yang diberikan kepada wartawan yang melanggar kode etik tersebut.

N2  - This research discusses the application of the journalistic code of ethics by journalists in broadcasting crime news on the Banten News YouTube channel. This research aims to determine the actions of journalists in obtaining news, Banten News journalist?s understanding of the journalistic code of ethics and the sanctions given when journalists violate it. This research uses qualitative methods supported by Max Weber's Social Action Theory using observation and in-depth interviews with five journalists. The research results show that Banten News journalists understand that there is a journalistic code of ethics that must be obeyed. Second, Banten News journalists are journalists who upload information quickly and up to date, so they tend to ignore the journalistic code of ethics. Third, Banten News journalists are socially influenced by organizational habits and cultural factors that have long been applied in processing news, so that knowledge of the journalistic code of ethics is not comprehensively applied in every report, and has not had an impact on the sanctions given to journalists who violate the code of ethics.
