description: The Realistic Mathematics approach in learning at school is used as an effort to develop students' creative thinking abilities, because using this innovative learning approach can provide space for students to be able to think more creatively in the learning process. This research aims to find out whether creative thinking skills with a Realistic Mathematical Approach are better than an expository approach. The subjects of this research were 31 students in class V A, and 28 students in class V B at SDN Kapuk 14 Pagi. This research uses a quasi-experimental method. The form of quasi-experimental design used is Prettest-Posttest Only Control Group Design. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and independent sample t-test. Based on the results of descriptive statistical tests, it was found that the average score in the control class posttest was 50.00 and in the experimental posttest class was 81.21. This indicates that the average creative thinking ability in the experimental class is higher than in the control class. So, it can be stated that the creative thinking abilities of students who receive realistic mathematical approach treatment are better than students who receive expository approach treatment. The results of the independent sample test obtained a t table value of 1.672 < t count 9.504 which shows that Ho is accepted, namely that there is a difference in the creative thinking abilities of students who receive the Realistic Mathematics Approach treatment which is better than students who receive the expository approach treatment.
