Electronics Nuclear engineering description: Palm sap is a liquid tapped from palm trees, which is the result of the metabolism of the tree. This liquid, called palm sap, contains between 10-15% sugar. The Oscillator Module generates a sinusoidal signal, the signal is an AC voltage of 5 volts AC with a frequency of 100 kHz then, it is read by the Arduino, the resulting voltage change or differential is calculated by the Arduino which will later be known as the Brix value, the calibration of the Brix value is adjusted to the sample measured using a refractometer. The aim of the research is to make a semicylindrical capacitor as a sensor for the sweetness level of sap water, make a measuring instrument for the sweetness level of sap water using an Arduino-based semi-cylindrical capacitor sensor and test the tool by comparing the output of the Brix value of the tool with a refractometer. The value obtained from the sugar content of the Brix sample 1 tool was 44.16% and the Brix sugar reflectometer value for sample 1 was 55%. The value obtained from the sugar content of the Brix sample 2 tool was 48.6% and the Brix sample 2 sugar reflectometer value was 70%. The value obtained from the sugar content of the Brix sample 3 tool was 30.16% and the Brix sample 3 sugar reflectometer value was 30%.
