In agricultural development, extension activities serve to   link agricultural practices with developing knowledge and technology. This study   aims to (1) determine how the role of field agricultural extension workers in   empowering farmer groups and (2) see the relationship between the role of field   agricultural extension officers and the empowerment of farmer groups in Kragilan   District, Serang Regency. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research   using the survey method. This research was conducted from May to June 2024.   Respondents in this study amounted to 56 farmers who were members of farmer   groups in the BPP-assisted area of Kragilan District, which were taken by the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling method. The types of data used in this   study are primary and secondary data. The data that has been obtained is analyzed   by quantitative descriptive method and chi square. The results obtained from this   study show that as motivators, information providers, and facilitators, the role of   extension officers in empowering farmer groups falls into the high category with   percentages of 84.5% for PPL as motivators, 92.2% for PPL as information   providers, and 92.8% for PPL as facilitators. Based on the chi square relationship   test, there is a significant relationship between the role of extension workers and   the empowerment of farmer groups in Kragilan District, Serang Regency with an   Asymp Sig value > 0.05.
