Diarrhea is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as defecation with a liquid consistency, three or more times per day or more frequently than normal for a person. According to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), diarrhea is the main cause of childhood mortality, accounting for approximately 9 percent of all deaths in children under 5 years of age worldwide. Various studies have examined factors related to the incidence of diarrhea, especially in terms of the environment and clean living behavior. This study aims to analyze environmental and behavioral factors related to the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers at the Serang CityRegional Health Center. Methods This research is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. The accessible population in this study is parents or companions bringing toddlers who come to the Serang City Regional Health Center in April 2024 – May 2024. The minimum sample size required in this study is 106 samples. Data was taken by interviewing the parents of toddler patients. Data analysis was carried out using the chi square test and multivariate test. Results were considered significant if the p value was ≤0.05. Results There is a significant relationship for family toilet facilities (P Value 0.006), a significant relationship for waste disposal facilities (P Value 0.018) and a nonsignificant relationship for house components (P Value 0.902) on environmental factors and an insignificant relationship for washing hands with soap ( P Value 0.239) on behavioral factors regarding the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the Serang City Community Health Center. Conclusion Environmental factors with the variables family toilet facilities and waste disposal facilities have a significant relationship increasing the risk of diarrhea in toddlers. date: 2024 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/3/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_Fulltext.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/4/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_01.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/5/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_02.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/6/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_03.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/7/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_04.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/8/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_05.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/9/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_06.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/10/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_Reff.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/42312/11/Final%20Skripsi%20_%20Aryasatya%20Yogy%20Krisnawan_Lamp.pdf identifier: Krisnawan, Aryasatya Yogy (2024) HUBUNGAN FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN DAN PERILAKU MENCUCI TANGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN DIARE PADA BALITA DI PUSKESMAS WILAYAH KOTA SERANG.
