description: Palka Palima – Sindangsari Highway is a route that connects other cities and   districts in Banten Province. Safety and smooth traffic are very important for   passing road users, so it is necessary to install traffic signs and road markings as   an effort to regulate and secure traffic so that road users avoid unwanted things   such as going the wrong way or even accidents. Although signs and markings have   been installed, it is undeniable that their condition and effectiveness may decline.   Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate signs and markings so that appropriate   actions can be taken to improve safety and smooth traffic. In this research, an   evaluation was carried out regarding the suitability of the placement of signs and   dimensions of the markings as well as the condition of the signs and markings. The   method used was an observation survey with literature study referring to Permehub   PM 13 of 2014 concerning Traffic Signs and Permenhub PM 34 of 2014 and   Permenhub PM 67 of 2018 concerning Road Markings. The results of this research   showed that along Palka Palima - Sindangsari Highway there were 18 traffic signs,   7 of them were in an unsuitable condition for use, 5 of them were not properly   placed in relation to the distance from the edge of the road, and there were 3 signs   that were not in the right height. Meanwhile, there are 11 road markings, 8 of which   are in unfit condition for use, and 4 of them were not match the dimensions of their   placement.
