The condition of the subgrade at that location needs a soil improvement process. Slag cement is a waste derived from the steel smelting process, while fly ash is a fine residue produced from the combustion of coal. Test specimens were made based on variations of slag cement (SC) and fly ash (FA) additives, namely 0 \% SC ? 0 \% FA, 0 \% SC ? 20 \% FA, 5 \% SC ? 20 \% FA, 10 \% SC ? 20\% FA, 15 \% SC ? 20 \% FA, and 20 \% SC ? 20 \% FA. With the curing time for 0 days, 7 days, 21 days, and 28 days. Test were conducted using unconfined compression strength test (UCT) test equipment. The results showed that the original soil at the site was classified as clayey gravel, gravel-sand-clay mixture (GC) with a plasticity indeks value 8.97 \% (medium plasticity). After the addition of additional materials, the Qu value increased by 232 \% from 1.79 kg/cm2 (stiff) to 5.94 kg/cm2 (hard). The increase Qu value was obtained in the variation of 15 \% SC - 20 \% FA with 28 days curing time. The test results on the physical properties of the soil showed that these additives were able to increase the specific gravity value and decrease the liquid limit value, plastic limit value and plasticity index value.}, url = {https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/41704/} }
