description: The phenomenon of poverty occurs in almost all countries, especially in developing countries. The problem of poverty is one of the sustainable development agendas or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which is included in goal 1. This research aims to determine the effect of average length of schooling, access to adequate sanitation, government expenditure in the education sector, government expenditure in the health sector and social assistance expenditure on poverty. The objects of this research cover 34 provinces in Indonesia in the period 2012 to 2022. The research data is sourced from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) and Direktoral Jenderal Perimbangan Keuangan (DJPK). This research uses a panel data analysis method with a fixed effect model. Based on partial research results, it shows that the average length of schooling, access to adequate sanitation and government spending in the education sector have a negative and significant effect on poverty. Meanwhile, government spending in the health sector has no positive effect on poverty. Then, spending on social assistance does not have a negative effect on poverty. Simultaneously shows that the average length of schooling, access to adequate sanitation, government spending in the education sector, government spending in the health sector and social assistance spending have a significant effect on poverty.
