description: Vocational Education in Vocational High Schools (SMK) plays a significant role in preparing students to become competent workers in Indonesia. The aim of research is to develop practical skills that can be applied in the workplace. Factors influencing the readiness of SMK students for work, such as field work experience, self-directed learning, and career guidance, are the focus of this study.  This research is a field study using quantitative methods with data collection through observation and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The study population consists of 12th-grade students with a total population of 6005, and sampling is done using purposive sampling with a sample size of 365.  The validity of the questionnaire has been tested using constructive analysis, and its internal reliability is measured by a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.897, indicating excellent reliability. The analysis results show that the data distribution is normal, there are no indications of multicollinearity, and the regression model is free from heteroskedasticity.  The research findings indicate that field work training, self-directed learning, and career guidance significantly influence the readiness for work of SMK students in the city of Serang. Each of these factors contributes differently to students' readiness for work, with contribution rates ranging from 8.1% to 22%. The combination of these three factors also has a significant impact on the readiness for work of SMK students
