description: This research aims to find out:  the creative character of Civics teachers and how Civics teachers overcome the problems found in their own creative character. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods, where this research seeks to describe the creative character of Civics teachers. Data collection was done by interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this research show what several Civics teachers face regarding creativity, namely the teacher's selection and use of learning methods and media that are creative and effective so that students are interested in learning.Furthermore, it was found that teachers in overcoming the problems of creative character by attending seminars and training, but there are several things that hinder Civics teachers in improving creativity, namely there are internal factors such as age and external factors, namely the facilities at school are inadequate for Civics teachers to improve creative characters such as limited projectors at school. The conclusion of this study found that to be creative, the teacher's approach is to master various teaching skills, namely having the ability to develop in using various learning media and choosing learning methods that suit the needs of students In the use of appropriate and creative media and learning methods can affect the effectiveness of the learning process, so that it can foster enthusiasm for learning to students in a unique and fun way of teaching that makes students interested in learning.
