This research is meant to describe form of presentation ekranisasi (plot, setting, character) of the Mariposa novels by Luluk HF into the Mariposa movie director of Fajar Bustomi, and implications for the study of literature in senior high school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The sources of this research are the Mariposa novels by Luluk HF and the Mariposa movie director of Fajar Bustomi. The data in this research is the expansion of contraction, addition, and change in the form of quotations in the Mariposa novels by Luluk HF and Mariposa movie director of Fajar Bustomi. Data collection techniques is this study used reading, documentation, and note taking techniques. The results of the research showing shape ekranisasi on: a) Plot, there are 21 contraction data, 6 addition data, and 3 change data; b) Setting, there are 9 contraction data, 2 addition data, and 3 change data; and c) Character, there are 9 contraction data, 4 addition data, and 2 change data. This ecraniation research can be implicated in the study of literature in senior high school in basic competence 3.9 Analyzing the content and linguistics of the novel, and 4.9 Designing a novel or novelet by paying attention to the content and linguistics both verbally and in writing.
