description: Diabetic ulcers are ulcers on the ankle due to lack of capillary or arterial circulation, neuropathy and foot deformity. One of the causes of diabetic ulcers is diabetes mellitus for more than 10 years. Self-care is very important in everyday life, because self-care affects a person's biological and psychological health. mellitus more than 10 years due to uncontrolled blood sugar, level of education and having a history of previous ulcers. Diabetic ulcer surgery is called diabetic ulcer debridement, the effect of this surgery is to create self-care deficits so that self-care is needed to help clean the patient's body. In this study the authors used a descriptive research method in the form of a case study, with research subjects using a comparison between 2 postoperative diabetic ulcer patients with self-care deficit problems. The results showed that both patients complained of weakness and itching all over the body. After self-care for 3 days, the personal hygiene of both patients improved. In conclusion, doing self-care in both patients is effective in increasing comfort, self-confidence, and eliminating body odor and eliminating itching in the body.
