description: Background:Family nursing care is a practice of nursing care with a series of care  activities provided to families that aim to improve the family's ability to deal with health  problems independently. Asthma is a problem that is very close to society because the  population suffering from asthma is increasing. The high incidence of asthma sufferers  is caused by air pollution, people's lifestyles and a lack of family knowledge about the  condition of the disease and asthma treatment so that nursing problems often arise,  namely ineffective breathing patterns.  Case Study Objectives: This case study aims to describe the action of knowledge deficit  family nursing care in asthma sufferers with the Action of Asthma Prevention Education  in the Serang City Health Center Area.  Case Study Method:The case study method used was a case study with a nursing  process approach and the objectives of this study were 2 asthmatic patients with  ineffective breathing patterns and knowledge deficit nursing problems.  Case Study Results: The results of the case study show that after nursing actions for  3x24 hours it can be concluded that the problem of knowledge deficit and ineffective  breathing patterns has been resolved with the outcome criteria the patient can breathe  freely and the patient and family understand asthma.  Conclusion:Health education about the prevention of asthma recurrence has been  shown to be effective in increasing patient knowledge about asthma.
