The story of Purbasari and Lutung Kasarung is one of the regional stories. Marjan's syrup advertisement has made an effort to elevate local wisdom into creativity, which deconstructs folklore as an emotional attraction. This study aims to analyze the intertextuality of the folklore "Purbasari and Lutung Kasarung" with the story in the Marjan syrup advertisement in the Ramadan 2020 edition. The story in the advertisement is considered a text derived from the previous text. This study describes the differences and similarities in the structure of the folklore "Purbasari and Lutung Kasarung" with the story in the Marjan syrup advertisement in the Ramadan 2020 edition. This study also aims to analyze the cultural values represented in advertisements, and how this side of creativity can be one of the interesting things to make an idea. Data was collected through observation and literature study. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that there is a representation of moral values contained in the advertisement. Through the codes, it can be concluded that there are noble moral values such as kindness, togetherness, and appropriate wisdom to be used as lessons in life through aspects of appearance, environment, dialogue, and character.
