TY - THES Y1 - 2022/12/07/ N2 - This research was aimed to know the effect of variations soaking time with organic fertilizier concentrations level in efforts to stop the dormancy of the potato tuber (Solanum tuberosum L.). One of the causes of the decline in potato production is the unavailability of seeds ready for planting during the growing season because of the dormancy period in the potato. Therefore, efforts should be made to break the dormancy of potato tubers. This research was conducted from March until May 2019 at Balitsa Lembang, West Java. This research method used completely randomized design non-factorial with ten test levels, namely control wthout soaking with BP-1, soaking time 4 hours with 3 ml/L BP-1 solution, soaking time 8 hours with 3 ml/L BP-1 solution, soaking time 12 hours with 3 ml/L BP-1 solution, soaking time 4 hours with 6 ml/L BP-1 solution, soaking time 8 hours with 6 ml/L BP-1 solution, soaking time 12 hours with 6 ml/L BP-1 solution, soaking time 4 hours with 9 ml/L BP-1 solution, soaking time 8 hours with 9 ml/L BP-1 solution, and soaking time 12 hours with 9 ml/L BP-1 solution. Each treatment was repeated three times. Parameters observed were time of the tubers sprout, shoots length, percentage of sprouted tubers, and percetage of tuber rot. The results showed that soaking time 4 hours with 3 ml/L BP-1 solution gave the best results on all test parameters, including time of the tubers sprout (40.21 DAT), shoots length (3.25 mm), percentage of sprouted tubers (85.42%), and percetage of tuber rot (0%).
