note: This reseach aims to provide an overview of the self-concept developed by 
members of the JJS Sinema community (Jorangan Jawa Serang) based on the 
dimensions of Knowledge, Hope, and self-assessment according to Calhoun 
Acocella (1990) and to find out the Symbolic Convergence study in the self-concept 
of the JJS Sinema community (Jorangan Jawa Serang) according to Ernest 
Bormann (1985). The research method used in this research is a qualitative 
descriptive study. The theory used in this research is the Symbolic Interaction 
theory from Ernest Bormann. Inforrman Research is a YouTube YouTube channel 
creator content creator, a member of the JJS (Jorangan Jawa Serang) Sinema 
Community. Determination of informants by purposive sampling technique that is 
choosing the best informants from the best. Data source informants based on 
certain considerations as many as four people. Data collection techniques using 
FGD and Interview Forums. The results of this study are the self-concept crew of 
the JJS Sinema community formed from the results of communication and 
togetherness between community members.

abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai konsep diri 
yang dibangun oleh anggota komunitas JJS Sinema (Jorangan Jawa Serang) 
berdasarkan dimensi Pengetahuan, Pengharapan, dan penilaian diri menurut 
Calhoun Acocella (1990) serta untuk mengetahui studi Konvergensi Simbolik 
dalam konsep diri komunitas JJS Sinema (Jorangan Jawa Serang) menurut Ernest 
Bormann (1985). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 
studi deskriptif kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori
Konvergensi Simbolik dari Ernest Bormann. Inforrman Penelitian adalah kru 
konten kreator akun kanal YouTube, yaitu anggota Komunitas JJS (Jorangan Jawa 
Serang) Sinema. Penentuan informan dengan teknik purposive sampling yakni
memilih informan terbaik dari yang terbaik. Informan sumber data berdasarkan 
pertimbangan tertentu sebanyak empat orang. Teknik Pengambilan data 
menggunakan FGD dan Wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah diri kru komunitas 
JJS Sinema yang terkonsep yang terbentuk dari hasil komunikasi serta kebersamaan 
antar anggota komunitas.
