description: This reserach entitled Applying Active Learning Method Type Quiz Team to  imrprove students’ Learning. This reserach aimed to imrove studetns’ learning  motivation through Active learning Method type quiz team. The research was  condacted as Classroom Action Research ( CAR) with two cycles. Each cycle has  two meetings that was done from 10 April to 20 April 2015 at SDN 1 Ciruas  Serang. In each cycle was done in four stages. They are Planning, Action,  Observation, and Reflection. To gather the research data, the reasearcher used  observation sheet, questionnaire, observation journal and documentation. The  observation result shows that there was an improvement in both students’  learning motivation and learning activity. At first cycle, the students learning  motivation was 78% of all students that categorized in high criteria increased to  89% of all students which categorised in high criteria. Morever, students learning  activity in first cycle was measured 72% of all students categorised as fair criteria  increased to 83% at second cycle which was categorised in good criteria. It can  be concluded that applying active learning method type quiz team can improve  students’ learning motivation at fifth grade SDN 1 Ciruas Serang.
