Polyprima Karyareksa. PT. Indorama Petrochemicals memiliki tiga tangki penyimpanan paraxylene sebagai bahan baku utama yang berkapasitas hampir 10000 m3 . Adapun kegiatan�kegiatan yang dilakukan di area tangki paraxylene yaitu sounding level paraxylene dan cleaning suction filter pompa paraxylene. Ada berbagai potensi bahaya di area ini dari kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan di area tangki paraxylene bila dilakukan dengan tidak hati-hati akan berakibat fatal bagi diri sendiri, lingkungan kerja, dan lingkungan sekitar. Untuk mengetahui potensi-potensi bahaya yang ada pada kegiatan sounding level paraxylene dan cleaning suction filter pompa paraxylene digunakan metode Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC). Dari metode HIRADC dapat diketahui potensi-potensi bahaya yang akan terjadi, dampak yang ditimbulkan, dan nilai risiko dari bahaya yang ada. Bahaya yang dapat terjadi diantaranya jatuh dari ketinggian, kebakaran, kematian, hingga terjadinya ledakan yang dapat menyebabkan kerugian bagi pekerja dan perusahaan. Selanjutnya dalam menentukan pengendalian harus mempertimbangkan hirarki pengendalian mulai dari eliminasi, substitusi, pengendalian teknis, administratif, dan penyediaan alat keselamatan (APD). abstract: PT. Indorama Petrochemicals is the petrochemical company producing basic raw materials for the manufacture of polyethylene. Before renamed PT. Indorama Petrochemicals company was named PT. Polyprima Karyareksa. PT. Indorama Petrochemicals has three tanks paraxylene as the main raw material capacity of nearly 10000 m3. The activities undertaken in the area of the tank that is sounding level paraxylene and cleaning suction filter paraxylene pump. There are varieties of potential hazards in this area of activities undertaken in the area of paraxylene tank when done with caution would be fatal for worker themselves, work environment, and the environment.
