Abstract
This research intended to (1) increasing student learning activity and (2) to know the increasing of student result in learning at class V SDN Cikuasa 2 Kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon at second semester school year 2013/2014 by using cooperative learning model type word aquare in subject of instruction social knowledge science the subject is independent proklamation by using classroom research metode. This research is done in two steps, each of step according to planning, doing, observation, and reflection. First step there are two meeting and also second step. The result of student activity is taken from observation paper from student activity and the result of student learning is taken from examination test. The result show up: (1) studen activity at class V SDN Cikuasa 2 kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon of school year 2013/2014 which aim to cooperative Learning model type word square that is : first step obtain 40% data and second step obtain 73,4% data. (2) the result student learning class V SDN Cikuasa 2 kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon of school year 2013/2014 obtain to cooperative learning model type word square is creasing significant for each step by using this cooperative learning model type word square that are first step get result persentation of 30% and second step get result persentation of 75%. From the explanation above we can make summary that cooperative learning model type word square can be increasing student learning activity and student learning result. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan (2) untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa di kelas V SDN Cikuasa 2 Kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Word Square pada mata pelajaran IPS mengenai materi proklamasi kemerdekaan metode yang digunakan adalah PTK. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dimana masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Siklus I terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan demikian pula dengan siklus II. Data hasil aktivitas siswa digali dengan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan data hasil belajar siswa digali dengan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas siswa kelas V SDN Cikuasa 2 Kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang mengacu pada model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Word Square yaitu: siklus I memperoleh data sebesar 40% dan siklus II memperoleh data sebesar 73,4%. (2) hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Cikuasa 2 Kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang mengacu pada model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Word Square yaitu mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan pada tiap siklusnya dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Word Square yakni, siklus I memperoleh nilai persentase 30% dan siklus II memperoleh nilai 75%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Cooperative Learning Tipe Word Square dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar siswa.
