Abstract

One of the DPRD's function is to articulate and create society necessities. The recess of the parliament period is a part of the assembly phase and implemented at least six days work. This recess of parliament period is used by DPRD both personally or in the group to visit the election region in a case to absorb the society aspirations. After the collection has been done, every member of DPRD personally or in the group have to make a written report or convey the result of their duty realization during that recess of parliament which is next will be conveyed to the leadership of DPRD in a plenary meeting. The goal of this research is to find out how the collecting society aspirations that have been done by the member of DPRD in Banten Province during the period of the recess that implemented on the assembly period II at 2017/2018. This research will be applied by a qualitative method with a case study approach. The kind of data will be primary and secondary data. The result of the research indicates that the implementation of the recess of the parliament which has been done by the member of DPRD in Banten Province is not effective yet. The collecting of society aspirations that has been done by them is used as a formality only. The collecting of aspirations through recess activity only assumed as a kind of sharing money and stuff freely. Keywords: Collecting Society, Recess, DPRD, Banten
