Abstract

This research entitled “Improving Students achievement on social science. Through learning model Kooperative type TPS (Think Pair Share) ” This research investigate and describe the relationship between students’ teaching and learning prosess and their daily life, so might improve student’ achivement on IPS. Learning to solve problems that researchers using Through TPS (Think Pair Share) learning model that aim to improve attention, activity and learning process of learners in the learning process on the material following the struggle against colonialism and optimal learning in order to obtain the optimal learning results. As for the formulation of this study were (1) how to students activity learning by using learning model TPS (Think Pair Share), and (2) how the learning outcomes after the use of media image. Besides the goal of this research is to uncover the planning, implementation, and evaluation after learning model TPS (Think Pair Share) applied in this study. The data analysis is analyzed based on the result of evaluation test the percentage of teachers’ activity and students’ activity at every cycle. Seen from the data pre-cycle levels of mastery learners only 30.90% or 17 people who completed the number of 55 students so that the learning process is implemented is not optimal. After a given action using TPS (Think Pair Share) approach in the first cycle the number of students who pass the completeness criteria based teaching increased to 26 people or 63.41%, and the second cycle increased to 35 people or 85,36%. After a given action using TPS (Think Pair Share) students activity in the first cycle the number of students who pass the teaching increased to 11 indicator or 68.75%, and the second cycle increased to 15 indicator or 93.75%. It can be concluded that the use of learning model TPS (Think Pair Share) movement a positive impact on students understanding Elementary School fifth grade Panancangan 5. Additional Information: Penelitian berjudul meningkatkan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS (Think Pair Share) ini bertujuan untuk membawa dunia belajar menghubungkan dengan kehidupan nyata siswa sehinnga meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian awal yang dilakukan diperoleh masalah pembelajaran yang dihadapi peserta didik. Untuk mengatasi masalah pembelajaran tersebut peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran koperatif tipe TPS yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perhatian, keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran agar memperoleh hasil belajar yang optimal. Adapun rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah (1) bagaimana aktifitas pembelajaran siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS (Think Pair Share, dan (2) bagaimana hasil belajar setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS (Think Pair Share). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Terlihat dari data awal tingkat kelulusan peserta didik hanya 30,90% atau 17 orang yang lulus dari jumlah 55 peserta didik sehingga proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan belum optimal. Setelah diberikan tindakan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS (Think Pair Share) pada siklus I jumlah peserta didik yang lulus berdasarkan KKM meningkat menjadi 26 orang atau 63,41%, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 35 orang atau 85,36%. Setelah diberikan tindakan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS (Think Pair Share) pada siklus I aktivitas peserta didik mencapai 11 indikator atau 68.75%, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 15 indikator atau 93.75%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS (Think Pair Share) memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri panancangan 5.Kata Kunci : hasil belajar siswa, mata pelajaran IPS, Model pembelejaran kooperatif tipe TPS (Think Pair Share), Penelitian tindakan kelas
