Abstract

One of the problems pertaining to health and comfort in working is exhausted caused by work.Fatigue can cause the decline in concentration in work, so as to cause a person can made a mistake in his job.Environmental conditions kerjaseperti lighting, noise, vibration, temperature and intensity dust also affects fatigue. PT. KHI Pipe and Coating is a company engaged in the heavy industry that makes high-quality welding steel pipes. PT. KHI has two types of pipe making production machines, that is ERW (Electrical Resistance Welding) and SPM (Spiral Pipe Machine). Research was conducted on the operator and the machine area SPM 2000 because the engine produces steel pipes with the largest diameter is 16-120 inch. This study was conducted to determine the fatigue that occurs on the carrier by using an objective method that pulse measurement and reaction time and using subjective methods of questionnaires which measure the IFRC and the physical work environment conditions that occur diarea engines work SPM 2000. Based on the measurement results obtained pulse the average operator of 113.08 beats / min and a reaction time of 519.51 milliseconds and IFRC score of 65.33 which is entirely included into the category workload being. Average - average amounted to 100.83 dB noise, temperature 0 C and pencahaaan 326.35 32.05 lux.Kondisi physical work environment noise and the temperature is above a threshold value of 85 dB and 30 0 C so that the necessary repairs.
