Abstract
This Action Research (PTK) motivated by lack of student’s learning outcome and student’s learning activity in fourth grade class in 1 Banjarmasin Elementary School with the average score is below specified score limit (KKM) which is 70 on Science subject. The purposes of this research is to improve student’s learning outcome and student’s learning activity using cooperative learning type STAD (Student Team Achievement Division). This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings which each meeting consists of four steps, that is: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. In first cycle, there are 38 % students got score ≥ 70 (KKM). In second cycle, 100% students have reached specified score limit (KKM), this result has fulfilled 80% indicators of success. In first cycle at first meeting, 64% student’s learning activity haven’t reached indicators of success, while at second meeting in first cycle is reached 79%, in second cycle at third meeting is reached 86% and at fourth meeting in second cycle is reached 100%, have reached 80% indicators of success. Based on the result of the research, can be concluded cooperative learning type STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) can improve student’s learning outcome and activity in fourth grade students in 1 Banjarmasin Elementary School Pandeglang.
