Abstract

Modern humans use the internet in all their life activities, so it is hoped that an internetconnection will still be available even if the user moves from place to place. To provide easy internet connection that supports user mobility, the Mobile IPv6 protocol has been developed. One of the processes that occur in providing continuous connections is handover, which is the process of changing traffic channels automatically on a network that is being used to communicate without any network disconnection. The favorite application during the covid-19 pandemic is the video teleconference application which is widely used as a medium for meetings and learning. To ensure meeting quality, it is necessary to justify the appropriate type of video teleconference application and its performance on the Mobile IPv6 network. Several researchers have published research results on the performance of video teleconferencing on Mobile IPv6 but have not provided recommendations for the type of video. This study aims to compare the performance of Zoom Meet video teleconference with Google Meet on Mobile IPv6 network. The experimental results show that the network throughput in the Google Meet application is 9% greater than Zoom Meet, but the delay in Google Meet is also higher than Zoom Meet with a difference of 3%. Although there are differences in throughput and delay values, the quality of the handover success ratio of the two applications shows 100% success.
