Abstract

To overcome health problems in the community, the government of Serang sity spread diffusion innovation of environmental in PHBS program using healthy family latrine. Given the appropriateness of the social system as the initial cause of the beloved adoption process, through the source of communication used, to the growing public awareness understands the characteristics of innovation and its implementation in everyday. This research useful to improve the social system towards the adoption of innovation sustainability innovation PHBS program of healthy family latrine in Serang city community by using diffusion innovation model of quantitative approach. This study was conducted on 392 households from the distribution of household category in Serang City. The result of the research shows that the adoption of environmental sustainability innovation in Serang City is still difficult to do. At the stage of knowledge, social systems and communication resources are not significantly significant. Stages of knowledge faced with social systems and sources of communication that have not optimally contribute to changes in attitudes and behavior of society.
