Abstract

This study aims to (1) understand the process of implementing the activities of dance creations in improving child kinesthetic intelligence and (2) to increase kinesthetic intelligence of children in kindergarten Islam Citra Mandiri Serang Banten. Based on the observation of pre-study found 21% of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Islam Citra Mandiri kinesthetic intelligence is shown the child is still undeveloped, still not in accordance with what is expected, especially in terms olag body, it can be seen because the children are not able to participate active when the learning process takes place, and most importantly the children in the class is easy to despair and quickly bored in learning activities. This research is a classroom action research (PTK), which consists of two cycles, wherein each cycle consists of the following stages: preparation, perlaksanaan, observation and reflection. Subjects were children aged 5-6 years group B1 TK Islam Citra Mandiri Serang Banten totaling 10 children, 6 boys and 4 girls. The analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative and guidelines used are observation sheets, sheets interviews, and field record sheet. The results of data analysis showed that: (1) the process of implementing the activities of dance creation has four stages: preparation, execution, presentation and evaluation, in the activities of dance creations child can perform leg lifts with force, the child can menggerkan body with speed and agility. Because the event was very interesting and enjoyable so that children are interested in following the activities tersebu; (2) kinesthetic intelligence of children increased significantly after the implementation of activities of dance creations on the first cycle is 39.875% and the percentage increase kinesthetic intelligence of children in the second cycle of 84.5. The results of data analysis showed that through dance creations can enhance kinesthetic intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Islam Citra Mandiri Serang Banten.
