Abstract
The role and participation of all Indonesians is needed for the sake of development without regard to any group. Not to mention the role of women, the role and participation of women in development should be accepted in recognition that women also have the right and ability especially to work outside their home. One of the professions taken by women in the Serang city is to become a female worker in Cocola International Bakery medium industry, it is done in order to contribute in the economy of their family.This study aims to determine the characteristics, the amount of income, and the contribution of female labor force Cocola International Bakery to the total income of their family. From the research result, it can be concluded that the characteristic of female labor force in middle industry Cocola International Bakery has productive age to work, last elementary education level is 76%, majority of work experience more than one year that is equal to 88%. 88% of respondents still have husbands and 12% are widowed. Their husbands' occupations are diverse and 59.6% have a family count of 1 to 2 people. The average income of female laborers is Rp1,176,640.00 and contribution or contribution given by female workers to their family income is 36.70%.

| Additional Information: | Pada masa pembangunan sekarang ini sumber daya manusia merupakan faktor produksi yang penting, karena manusia merupakan pelaku dan sekaligus tujuan pembangunan. Peran dan partisipasi seluruh masyarakat Indonesia tanpa memandang dari kelompok manapun sangatlah dibutuhkan demi kelancaran pembangunan. Tidak terkecuali peran wanita, peranan dan partisipasi wanita dalam pembangunan sudah semestinya diterima sebagai pengakuan bahwa wanita juga memiliki hak dan kemampuan terutama untuk bekerja di luar rumah. Peran kerja yang diambil oleh wanita yang ada di Kota Serang salah satunya adalah dengan menjadi tenaga kerja wanita pada industri menengah Cocola International Bakery, hal tersebut dilakukan karna adanya tuntutan ekonomi dan agar dapat ikut turut berkontribusi dalam perekonomian keluarganya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik tenaga kerja wanita yang bekerja pada industri menengah Cocola International Bakery dan untuk mengetahui besarnya pendapatan tenaga kerja wanita serta mengetahui besar kontribusi yang diberikan tenaga kerja wanita Cocola International Bakery terhadap total pendapatan keluarganya. | |||||||||
