Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of respondents and the effectiveness of interpersonal communication of farmers in farmer groups, to analyze the level of participation of farmers in farmer groups, to analyze the relationship of the effectiveness of farmers' interpersonal communication to the level of participation of farmers in farmer groups. The research method used in this study is descriptive method with quantitative approach, and survey. The location of this study was chosen with certain considerations, namely deliberately (purposive) that is the location taking based on the characteristics or characteristics of the population that have been known beforehand and adapted to the research objectives. Data analysis used in this study is the analysis of validity test, reliability test and Spearman rank correlation test. Based on the results of the study the effectiveness of interpersonal communication of farmers in farmer groups includes several components, namely openness, empathy, supportive attitudes, positive attitudes and equality into the good category. The level of participation of farmers in the farmer group at the decision-making stage, at the implementation stage of the activity, at the monitoring and evaluation stage, at the utilization stage is in the good category. The relationship between the effectiveness of farmers' interpersonal communication to the level of farmer participation is a significant relationship with a correlation value of 0.638 with a two-way test (2-tailed) and with a level of 5%.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi karakteristik responden dan efektivitas komunikasi antar pribadi petani di kelompok tani, menganalisis tingkat partisipasi petani di kelompok tani, Menganalisis hubungan efektivitas komunikasi antar pribadi petani terhadap tingkat partisipasi petani di kelompok tani. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan Survey. Lokasi penelitian ini dipilih dengan pertimbangan tertentu yaitu dengan secara sengaja (purposive) yaitu pengambilan lokasi didasarkan atas ciri-ciri atau sifat-sifat populasi yang sudah diketahui sebelumnya dan disesuaikan dengan tujuan penelitian. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis uji validitas, uji reliabilitas dan uji korelasi rank spearman. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini pada Karakteristik petani responden di Desa Tonjong Kecamatan Kramatwatu ialah : (1) Dilihat dari segi umur petani responden tergolong kedalam kelompok usia produktif. (2) Pendidikan petani responden sebagian besar lulusan sekolah dasar (SD). (3) Petani responden mempunyai pengalaman berusahatani yaitu 30-40 tahun. (4) Luas lahan usahatani petani responden sekitar 1-1,5 ha dan status kepemilikan lahannya rata-ratanya adalah penggarap, sebagian besar masyarakat disana memiliki pekerjaan utama sebagai petani. *Pada efektivitas komunikasi antar pribadi petani pada kelompok tani diantaranya meliputi : (1) Pada indikator keterbukaan memperoleh total nilai sebesar 73,5% dan masuk dalam kategori baik. (2) Pada indikator empati memperoleh total nilai sebesar 80,2% dan masuk dalam kategori baik. (3) Pada indikator sikap mendukung memperoleh total nilai sebesar 72,2% dan masuk dalam kategori baik. | |||||||||
