Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pada hasil membaca pemahaman yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SQ4R dengan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran DRTA, serta bertujuan untuk mengetahui model mana yang lebih baik terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Cilampang Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel yang diambil dari masing – masing kelompok sebanyak 27 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik sampling Non-Probability Sampling tipe Purposive Sampling. Pada penelitian ini, kelas V B sebagai kelas eksperimen I dan kelas VC sebagai kelas eksperimen II. Nilai rata – rata yang didapatkan pada siswa yang menggunakan model SQ4R sebesar 63,3 sedangkan nilai rata-rata yang menggunakan model DRTA sebesar 58,9. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan pada hasil membaca pemahaman siswa yang meggunakan model SQ4R dengan siswa yang menggunakan model DRTA, serta model SQ4R sama baiknya dengan model DRTA untuk membaca pemahaman.

This research is intend to discover the difference in understanding ability between those using the SQ4R model and those using the DRTA model and to find out which model is better for students' understanding. This research was conducted in the Cilampang Elementary School in Serang City in the 2018/2019 academic year. The research method used was quasi-experimental with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design and the sampling technique used was the Non-Probability Sampling type of Purposive Sampling. In this research, fifth class B as the first experimental class and fifth class C as the second experimental class. The average value obtained in students using the SQ4R model is 63,3 while the average value using the DRTA model is 58.9. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that there is no difference in the results of reading comprehension of students using the SQ4R model with students using the DRTA model, and the SQ4R model is as good as the DRTA model for reading comprehension.
