Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is that some students lack awareness of the importance of discipline such as being late for school, taking breaks on time and there are still many students who do not wear uniforms according to the rules. This study aims to determine the correlation of teacher personality competence with student discipline and how much the correlation between teacher competency and student discipline. The research method used is correlational. This research was conducted in class VI SDN Majalaya with a population of 54 students and a sample of 30 students. Data collection techniques are Likert scale questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. Based on the results of the correlation analysis test obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.61 with a significance of 0.000. The significance value obtained is 0,000, 0,000 <0.05 thus there is a correlation between the teacher's personal competence and student discipline. Based on the calculated value obtained is 0.61 which is between the coefficient intervals 0.60 to 0.79, this shows the correlation between the teacher's personality competency and student learning discipline is quite strong. Based on the test results the coefficient of determination obtained by 0.37. This shows that the teacher personality competency variable contributes to student discipline by 37%.
