Abstract

This research motivated by the low student achievement in fifth Karawaci 19 elementary school of learning Indonesian. Listening aspects in analysis of test result is low and not yet reached KKM specified. This is caused by incorrect use of the methods is less on learning Indonesian. The purpose of this research is to improve the completeness of classical learning and student activity in fifth class of listening learning through Direct Learning Activity strategy. This research uses Classroom Action Research, which lasted for two cycles. Data collection used tests and monitoring. Data were analyzed by looking at the student’s completeness learning of classical score that is 82% who has ≥ 65.The result showed that Direct Learning Activity strategy can improve the completeness of classical learning and student activity of listening skill in learning Indonesian. This is evident from the increase 55% in the average results of tests First Cycle and 74% on the Second Cycle, in term of completeness learning achievement of students in First Cycle is 25% and 82% in the Second. So also with the results of the activity of student listening achieved 79% and 88% in Second Cycle.
