Abstract

Onion ia a superior vegetables commodities that farmers have long intensified. This commodity is a source of income and employment that contributes significantly to regional economic development. Selection of research sites was done purposively. This research area is located in Kramatwatu Sub-District, Serang District-Banten. Consideration that the area is the highest onion production area in Serang District and decreasing in 2015. This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of production factors (land area, seed, labor, SP-36, KCL, ZA and NPK) on onion production in Kramatwatu Sub-district and Analyze the efficiency level of the use of onion production factors (land area, seed, labor, SP-36, KCL, ZA and NPK) in Kramatwatu sub-district. Respondent selection using proportionate stratified random sampling and obtained 71 onion farmers. Analysis used Cobb Douglas and production efficiency analysis. The results showed simultaneously factors of production land area, seed, labor, SP-36, KCL, ZA and NPK significantly affect on onion production. While partially, seed variables and SP-36 which significantly affect the production of onions.The results of production efficiency analysis of the use of production factors of land area, seed, labor, SP-36, KCL, ZA and NPK are still inefficient and the use of factor variables need to be added to obtain higher efficiency level.

Additional Information: Bawang merah merupakan salah satu komoditas sayuran unggulan yang sejak lama telah diusahakan oleh petani secara intensif. Komoditas ini juga merupakan sumber pendapatan dan kesempatan kerja yang memberikan kontribusi cukup tinggi terhadap perkembangan ekonomi wilayah. Karena memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi, maka usahatani bawang merah telah menyebar di hampir semua provinsi di Indonesia. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh dan tingkat efisiensi penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi (luas lahan, benih, tenaga kerja, pupuk SP-36, KCL, ZA dan NPK) terhadap produksi bawang merah di Kecamatan Kramatwatu.
