Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara mengembangkan dan tingkat kelayakan Media Crossword Puzzle pada Mata Pelajaran IPS serta mengetahui respon siswa terhadap Media Crossword Puzzle pada Mata Pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada hari senin 8 April 2019 di kelas V SDN Gembong 1. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development, dengan desain pengembangan Borg, W.R and Gall. Penilaian produk untuk uji kelayakan bahan ajar dilakukan oleh 3 ahli antara lain ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa. Sasaran uji coba produk skala terbatas yaitu siswa kelas VB SD Negeri Gembong 1 yang berjumlah 29 orang. Hasil dari penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar berupa Media Crossword Puzzle menunjukkan presentase sebesar 92,1%, persentase pencapaian tersebut termasuk pada interpretasi “sangat layak”. Hasil angket siswa yang sudah diakumulasikan menunjukkan persentase sebesar 90,25%. presentase pencapaian tersebut termasuk pada interpretasi “sangat layak”. Dari hasil penilaian uji kelayakan dan respon siswa, maka disimpulkan bahwa media Crossword Puzzle yang dikembangkan sangat layak dan memiliki daya tarik yang sangat baik.

Additional Information: This study aims to find out how to develop and the feasibility level of Media Crossword Puzzle in Social Sciences Subjects and to find out the students' responses to the Media Crossword Puzzle in Social Sciences Subjects. This research was conducted on Monday, April 8, 2019 in the fifth grade of Gembong Elementary School 1. The research method used in this study was Research and Development, with the development design of Borg, W.R and Gall. Product assessment for the feasibility test of teaching materials is carried out by 3 experts, including media experts, material experts, and linguists. The target of limited-scale product trial is 29 students of class VB SD Negeri Gembong 1. The results of the development of teaching materials in the form of Media Crossword Puzzle showed a percentage of 92.1%, the percentage of achievement included in the interpretation of "very feasible". The results of student questionnaires that have been accumulated show a percentage of 90.25%. the percentage of achievement is included in the "very feasible" interpretation. From the results of the assessment of the feasibility test and student responses, it was concluded that the Crossword Puzzle media developed was very feasible and had a very good appeal.
