Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out whether there was a significant influence of using story mapping toward students’ writing ability on narrative text at the eleventh grade of SMAN 6 Kota Serang. The samples of this research were eleventh grade of SMAN 6 Kota Serang. They were XI IPS 2 as experimental Class and XI IPS 3 as control class. Each class consisted of 32 students. The method of this research used quantitative method. Quasi experimental research used as a design of this research. The data were gathered through test which were delivered into pre-test and posttest. The instrument of this research was a written test. The result of this research showed that the story mapping was significant influence to use in teaching writing narrative text.
