Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah pengembangan, kelayakan, serta respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar berupa buku cerdas bergambar berbasis karakter (religius dan toleransi) pada sub tema 1 “keragaman suku bangsa dan agama di negeriku”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development (R&D), dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dikembangkan oleh Sugiyono. Model ini terdiri dari 6 tahap; (1) potensi dan masalah (2) mengumpulkan informasi (3) desain produk (4) validasi desain (5) revisi desain (6) uji coba produk terbatas. Validasi ahli dilakukan oleh ahli desain, ahli materi dan ahli bahasa, dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Merak 1 yang berjumlah 15 siswa. Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Pengambilan data diperoleh dengan observasi, tes, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) didapatkan skor rata-rata dari validasi ahli dengan presentase sebesar 83,15% yang termasuk dalam kategori “sangat layak” (2) skor rata-rata respon siswa dengan presentase sebesar 89,63% yang termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik”. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa Buku Cerdas Bergambar berbasis karakter ini layak dan dapat dipergunakan.

| Additional Information: | The purpose of this research is to find out the stesps of development, appropriateness and response of students towards teaching media in the form of illustrated smart book based on character (religious and tolerance) in sub-theme 1 "diversity of ethnic groups and religions in my country". The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) method, with reference to the development model of Borg and Gall developed by Sugiyono.This model consists of 6 stages; (1) potential and problems (2) collecting the informations (3) product design (4) design validation (5) design revisions (6) limited product trials. Validation was carried out by design experts, material experts and linguists, with the subject of the research, namely the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Merak 1 with 15 students. 2018/2019 academic Year. Data retrieval is obtained by observation, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study are (1) obtained an average score from expert validation with a percentage of 83.15% which is included in the category of "veryappropriate". (2) the average score of student responses with a percentage of 89.63% included in the category "very good". So it can be concluded that this illustrated smart book based on character is appropriateand can be used. | |||||||||
