Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya tersedia bahan ajar bahasa Inggris di SDN Serang 3, maka dari itu peneliti bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar kosakata bahasa Inggirs berbasis Total Physical Responses (TPR) di kelas 4 SD. Penelitian ini dilaksanakn di SDN Serang3 tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (RnD). Bahan ajar kosakata bahasa Inggris ini dikembangkan dengan aplikasi Infinity Design dan Microsoft Word 2010. Kelayakan bahan ajar kosakata ini diketahui dengan melakukan validasi oleh para ahli. Validasi ahli dilakukan oleh ahli instrumen, ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli bahasa dengan subjek penelitian yaitu jumlah total 38 siswa. Bahan ajar kosakata ini mendapatkan skor rata-rata yaitu 86,4 % sehingga termasuk kedalam kategori “sangat layak” dan pembelajaran menggunakan bahan ajar kosakata ini mendapat rata-rata skor 93%, sehingga termasuk kedalam kategori “sangat baik”. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar kosakata bahasa Inggris ini sangat layak dan baik untuk digunakan di Sekolah Dasar.

Additional Information: This research was aimed to develop English-based vocabulary teaching materials for Total Physical Responses (TPR) in grade 4. This research was conducted at SDN Serang 3 in the 2018/2019 school year. This study uses the Research and Development (RnD) method. This English vocabulary teaching material was developed with the application Infinity Design and Microsoft Word 2010. The feasibility of the teaching material of this vocabulary is known by conducting validations by experts. Expert validation was carried out by instrument experts, material experts, media experts, and linguists with research subjects, namely a total of 38 students. The teaching materials of this vocabulary got an average score of 86.4% so that it was included in the category of "very feasible" and learning to use this vocabulary teaching material got an average score of 93%, so it was included in the "very good" category. It can be concluded that the English vocabulary teaching material is very feasible and good for use in elementary schools.
