Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dan kurangnya pengetahuan tentang nilai budaya Banten pada siswa. Selain itu, belum tersedianya bahan ajar yang memuat kemampuan literasi matematis sebagaimana yang dituntut oleh Kurikulum 2013 yang memprioritaskan kemampuan literasi matematis harus dicapai oleh siswa serta kurangnya nilai budaya Banten pada bahan ajar yang ada. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukannya suatu bahan ajar yang memuat kemampuan literasi matematis dan nilai budaya Banten. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan yang dicetuskan oleh Borg dan Gall dan diadaptasi oleh Sugiyono menjadi tujuh tahapan. Enam orang uji ahli dari uji ahli materi dan uji ahli media telah melaksanakan pengujian terhadap bahan ajar buku teks dan e-book yang dikembangkan. Produk penelitian ini berupa berupa buku siswa dan buku guru berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education yang bernilai budaya Banten untuk mengembangkan kemampuan literasi matematis pada materi aritmetika sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) kualitas bahan ajar dilihat dari aspek kevalidan termasuk dalam kriteria baik dengan persentase nilai 85% berdasarkan penilaian dua dosen ahli (ahli materi dan ahli media) dan termasuk kriteria sangat praktis dengan persentase nilai 82% berdasarkan hasil evaluasi guru matematika; (2) kualitas bahan ajar dilihat dari aspek kepraktisan termasuk dalam kriteria sangat praktis dengan persentase nilai 90% berdasarkan hasil respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar; (3) kualitas bahan ajar dilihat dari aspek respon siswa termasuk dalam kriteria baik dengan persentase 89% dan berkategori menarik; dan (4) kualitas bahan ajar dilihat dari aspek keefektifan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar efektif digunakan untuk mengembangkan pencapaian literasi matematis siswa. Keefektifan tersebut berdasarkan hasil posttest literasi matematis yang menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa mencapai 93%.

Additional Information: This research was motivated by the low mathematical literacy ability of students and lack of knowledge about Banten's cultural values in students. In addition, the unavailability of teaching materials that contain mathematical literacy ability as demanded by the 2013 curriculum which prioritizes mathematical literacy ability must be achieved by students and lack of Banten cultural values in existing teaching materials. Therefore we need a teaching material that contains mathematical literacy ability and the value of Bantenese culture. This development research used a development model which was initiated by Borg and Gall and adapted by Sugiyono into seven steps. Six expert tests from the material expert test and media expert test have carried out testing of the textbook and e-book teaching materials developed. The product of this research is in the form of student and teacher books based on realistic mathematics education containing the value of Bantenese culture to develop mathematical literacy ability in social arithmetic material. The results showed that: (1) the quality of teaching materials which are seen from the validity aspect is good criteria with percentage value of 85% based on the assessment of two expert lecturers (material experts and media experts) and from the evaluation aspect is very practical with percentage value of 82% based on mathematics teacher evaluation result; (2) the quality of teaching materials which are seen from the practical aspect is very practical criteria with percentage value of 90% based on the results of student responses for teaching materials; (3) the quality of teaching materials which are seen from the aspect of student responses is good criteria with percentage of 89% and interesting categories; and (4) the quality of teaching materials which are seen from the aspect of effectiveness shows that teaching materials are effective to be used to develop the achievement of students' mathematical literacy. The effectiveness is based on the results of posttest mathematical literacy which shows the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes reaches 93%.
