Abstract
This research is motivated by the choice of language symptom on the interaction between students and teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, Cikande Sub-district, Serang District that occurs in the use of two or more languages either alternately or simultaneously. The purpose of this study are (1) Describe the form of choice of language in the interaction of teaching and learning process in class X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande learning year 2016/2017, and (2) Explain the factors that cause the choice of language in the interaction of teaching and learning process in class X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande year of learning 2016/2017. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used are recording techniques, refer to, and record. This research data source is in the form of recording of speech between teacher and student in interaction of teaching and learning process in class X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, Sub Cikande, Regency of Serang Banten Province This research data is speech between teacher and student in interaction of teaching and learning process in class X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, Cikande Sub-district, Serang District, Banten Province containing good choice of language practices in the form of code transfer, code mixing, and language variation. Based on the results of data analysis, the results obtained as follows: In the speech between teachers and students in the interaction of teaching and learning process in class x SMA Negeri 1 Cikande there are 22 language choice of language practices, which can be detailed as follows: data including choice of language shaped code as many as 3 pieces, the data includes a choice of mixed-code language as much as 18 pieces, and data including language choices in the form of language variations as much as 1 piece. The factors that cause the choice of language are (1) the background (time and place) and situation, (2) the participant in the interaction, and (3) the interaction function.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh gejala pilihan bahasa pada interaksi antara siswa dan guru di SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, Kecamatan Cikande, Kabupaten Serang yang terjadi dalam penggunaan dua bahasa atau lebih baik secara bergantian maupun bersamaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan bentuk pilihan bahasa dalam interaksi proses belajar mengajar di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande tahun pembelajaran 2016/2017, dan (2) Menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya pilihan bahasa dalam interaksi proses belajar mengajar di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande tahun pembelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik rekam, simak, dan catat. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah berupa rekaman tuturan antara guru dan siswa dalam interaksi proses belajar mengajar di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, Kecamatan Cikande, Kabupaten Serang Provinsi Banten Data penelitian ini adalah tuturan antara guru dan siswa dalam interaksi proses belajar mengajar di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, Kecamatan Cikande, Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten yang mengandung praktik pilihan bahasa baik berupa alih kode, campur kode, dan variasi bahasa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data , diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut : Dalam tuturan antara guru dan siswa dalam interaksi proses belajar mengajar di kelas x SMA Negeri 1 Cikande terdapat praktik pilihan bahasa sebanyak 22 buah, yang dapat diperinci sebagai berikut : data yang termasuk pilihan bahasa berbentuk alih kode sebanyak 3 buah, data yang termasuk pilihan bahasa berbentuk campur kode sebanyak 18 buah, dan data yang termasuk pilihan bahasa berbentuk variasi bahasa sebanyak 1 buah. Sedangkan faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya pilihan bahasa yaitu (1) latar (waktu dan tempat) dan situasi, (2) partisipan dalam interaksi, dan (3) fungsi interaksi. | |||||||||
