Abstract

Kurangnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-confidence pada siswa kelas VII SMP N 13 Kota Serang dan pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-confidence pada pembelajaran matematika menjadi latar belakang dalam penelitian ini. Fokus masalah pada penelitian ini adalah pengaruh model pembelajaran think pair share dengan pendekatan RME terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-confidence siswa.. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran think pair share dengan pendekatan realistic mathematics education lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran cooperative learning dengan pendekatan saintifik, (2) untuk mengetahui apakah dan self-confidence siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran think pair share dengan pendekatan realistic mathematics education lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran cooperative learning dengan pendekatan saintifik Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah only posttest control grup design Hasil perhitungan uji t menunjukkan bahwa nilai uji t kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa diperoleh thitung = 3,019 dan ttabel = 2.008. Nilai thitung > ttabel. Sedangkan nilai uji t self-confidence siswa diperoleh thitung = -3,64 dan ttabel = 2.01. Nilai thitung < ttabel, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menggunakan model pembelajarn think pair share dengan pendekatan realistic mathematics education lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran cooperative learning dengan pendekatan saintifik dan self-confidence siswa menggunakan model pembelajarn think pair share dengan pendekatan realistic mathematics education tidak lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran cooperative learning dengan pendekatan saintifik.

Additional Information: The lack of mathematical communication skill and self-confidence in VII grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Serang City and the importance of mathematical communication skill and self-confidence in mathematics learning became the background in this study. The focus of the problem in this study is the influence of think pair share learning model with the RME approach to students’ mathematical communication skill and self-confidence. The objectives of this study are: (1) to find out whether students' mathematical communication skill use think pair share learning approaches realistic mathematics education is better than cooperative learning with the scientific approach, (2) to find out whether students’ self-confidence use the think pair share learning model with a realistic mathematics education approach better than cooperative learning with the scientific approach. The research method used was only posttest control group design. The results of the t-test calculation show that the value of the t-test of students' mathematical communication skill is obtained t = 3.019 and t table = 2008. tcount> ttable. While the value of the student's self-confidence t test is obtained t = -3.64 and table = 2.01. The tcount < ttable, thus it can be concluded that students’ mathematical communication skill use learning model think pair share with the realistic mathematics education approach is better than cooperative learning with the scientific approach and students’ self-confidence use the learning model think pair share with the realistic mathematics education approach is no better than cooperative learning with a scientific approach.
