Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan pengaruh antara keterampilan menulis puisi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dan Direct Instruction pada siswa kelas VIII MTs. Al-Mubarok Kota Tangerang. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperien bersifat kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs. Al-Mubarok Kota Tangerang. Teknik pengambilan sampel digunakan teknik simple random sampling. Terpilih siswa kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian berupa lembar hasil kerja siswa dalam menulis puisi yang diberikan pada saat pretest dan posttest. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang sangat signifikan dalam penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi, dengan rata-rata skor pretest 62,43 dan skor posttest sebesar 80,5. Sedangkan pengaruh model Direct Instruction terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi dengan rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 59,26 dan skor posttest sebesar 72,3. Berdasarkan data hasil pembelajaran memiliki peningkatan pada nilai posttest di kelas eksperimen yang memiliki selisih 8,2 poin, dari hasil tersebut terlihat adanya perbedaan yang signifikan yakni nilai yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang menggunakan model Direct Instruction terhadap hasil menulis puisi. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran Think Pair Share lebih baik disbanding dengan model Direct Instruction dalam keterampilan menulis puisi.

| Additional Information: | The purpose of this study is to describe the differences in influence between poetry writing skills using Think Pair Share and Direct Instruction learning models on class VIII MTs. Al-Mubarok Kota Tangerang. The method of this research is quantitative experimental methods. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of MTs. Al-Mubarok Kota Tangerang. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling technique. Selected students of class VIII-1 as the experimental class and class VIII-2 as the control class. The research data is in the form of student work sheets in writing poetry given at the pretest and posttest. The results of the study show that there is a very significant effect in the application of Think Pair Share learning models to poetry writing skills, with an average pretest score of 62.43 and a posttest score of 80.5. While the influence of the Direct Instruction model on poetry writing skills with an average pretest score of 59.26 and a posttest score of 72.3. Based on the learning outcome data has an increase in the posttest value in the experimental class which has a difference of 8.2 points, from these results it can be seen that there is a significant difference in the value using the Think Pair Share learning model higher than that using the Direct Instruction model on poetry writing results . The results of this study state that the Think Pair Share learning model is better than the Direct Instruction model in poetry writing skills. | |||||||||
