Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati kelas X. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Randomize Control Group Only. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN 2 Kota Serang kelas X semester 1 tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Random Sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan kategori baik (76,75), sedangkan kelas kontrol dengan kategori cukup (64,64). Hasil analisis uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji T pada taraf signifikan diperoleh nilai signifikansi (0,00) < (0,05) artinya H0 ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati kelas X di MAN 2 Kota Serang.

| Additional Information: | This research aimed to observe the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model towards students’ critical thinking ability on the concept of biodiversity in tenth grade. The method used was quasi experiment with Randomize Control Group Only research design. This research was held in MAN 2 Serang City at tenth grade of first semester academic year of 2018/2019. The sampling technique used in this research was Random Sampling. The sample used in this research was X IPA 5 class as the experiment class and X IPA 3 class as the control class. The results showed that students' critical thinking ability in the experimental class were in a good category (76.75), while the control class was in sufficient category (64.64). The results of the hypothesis test analysis by using T test on significant level α = 0.05 showed that significance value result was (0,00) < (0.05). Therefore, H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that there was influence of Problem Based Learning model towards students' critical thinking ability on the concept of biodiversity at tenth grade in MAN 2 Serang City. | |||||||||
