Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self- efficacy siswa di SMPN 14 Kota Serang masih kurang. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut digunakan model pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT) dengan pendekatan kontekstual yang mana model pembelajaran ini membuat siswa lebih aktif serta mengakaitkan materi pelajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dari model pembelajaran tersebut terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan Self-Efficacy siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan tipe posttest-only control design. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelas yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 14 Kota Serang yang terdiri dari delapan kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VIII F sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diperoleh melalui cluster random sampling dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas terlebih dahulu. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa instrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan instrumen non tes berupa angket Self-Efficacy. Hasil penlitian memberikan kesimpulan bahwa pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol dan pencapaian Self-Efficacy siswa kelas eksperimen tidak lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT) dengan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan tidak terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT) dengan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap Self-Efficacy siswa.

| Additional Information: | This researchwas supported by the ability to communicate mathematical and self- efficacy students of junior high school 14 serang city. In order to deal with this, the Number Head Together (NHT) learning model was used with a contextualapproach which this learning model makes students more active and associates subject matter with everyday life.This research aims to look at the effects of the learning model to the ability to communicate mathematical and self- efficacy of students. The methodology used in this research was quasi experiment with type posttest-only control design. This study involved two class consist of an experiment classand controlclass. The population of this research were all eighth grade students of Junior High School 14 Serang City which consist of eight classes. The sample of this research was class VIII B as the control class and class VIII F as the experimental class obtained through cluster random sampling with normality and homogeneity tests first. The instrument used was a mathematical communication ability test instrument and a non-test instrument in the form of a Self-Efficacy questionnaire. The results of the research provide the conclusion that the achievement of the ability to communicate mathematical of the experimental class students is better than the control classand the achievement of the Self-Efficacy students in the experimental class is no better than the control class.This research show there was an effect of Number Head Together (NHT) learning model with a contextual approach to the ability to communicate mathematical of students and there was not effect on Number Head Together (NHT) learning model with a contextual approach to Self-Efficacy of students. | |||||||||
