Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the use of cooperative learning model of the STAD type of mathematical problem solving ability in mathematics learning material simple plane. This research method is the method of experimentation with forms of research Quasi Experimental Design (quasi-experimental) and form design non-equivalent control group. The population in this study were all students of SDN Sepring and SDN Pancur of the school year 2017/2018. Of the total number of classes taken two classes as samples using purposive sampling. Thus obtained the experimental class is class IV A SDN Sepring, where the classes on learning using cooperative learning model of the type of STAD and control class is class IV B SDN Sepring, where the classes in the learning process using direct instruction model.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika materi bangun datar sederhana. Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan bentuk penelitian Quasi Experimental Design (eksperimen semu) dan bentuk desain kelompok control non-equivalen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Sepring dan SDN Pancur. Dari seluruh jumlah kelas diambil dua kelas sebagai sampel teknik purposive sampling. Sehingga diperoleh kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas IV A SDN Sepring , dimana kelas tersebut pada pembelajaranya menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan kelas kontrol yaitu kelas IV B SDN Sepring, dimana kelas tersebut dalam proses pembelajaranya menggunakan model direct instruction. | |||||||||
