Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang dengan tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kemampuan komunikasi dan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII F sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII H sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan tes kemampuan koneksi matematis. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa : (1) Pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas eksperimen tidak lebih baik dari siswa kelas kontrol, (2) Pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas eksperimen tidak lebih baik dari siswa kelas kontrol, dan (3) Terdapat korelasi antara kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kemampuan koneksi matematis.

| Additional Information: | his research was conducted at one junior high school in Serang city (SMPN 1 Kota Serang) which aims to know the influence of inquiry learning model to the ability of mathematical communication and mathematical connection students. The Methodology used in this research is quasi experimental method with The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research is seventh grade students of one junior high school Serang city (SMPN 1 Kota Serang). The sample of this research were class VII F as control class and VII H as experimental class. The instrument used is this research the test of mathematical communication ability and the test of mathematical connection ability. The result of this research concluded that: (1) the achievement and enhancement of the mathematical communication ability on experimental class not better than control class, (2) the achievement and enhancement of the mathematical connection ability on experimental class not better than control class, and (3) there is corelation between ability of mathematical communication and mathematical connection. | |||||||||
