Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode praktikum berbasis discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi pada materi getaran dan gelombang. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kemampuan yang harus dipenuhi siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan abad 21, yaitu kemampuan berkomunikasi. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Serang. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini yaitu quasi experimental dengan menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design, terdapat kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen masing-masing berjumlah 37 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu panduan praktikum beserta lembar penilaian laporan praktikum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan uji hipotesis (uji t) pada kedua kelas dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Nilai rata-rata laporan praktikum kelas eksperimen sebesar 73,31 dalam kategori tinggi dan kelas kontrol sesebar 54,31 dalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode praktikum berbasis discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi pada materi getaran dan gelombang

Additional Information: | This research is purpose to understand the effect of practical methods based on discovery learning on the ability to communicate on vibrational and wave materials. This research is based on background by the ability that students must meet in facing the challenges of the 21st century, that is the ability to communicate. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 2 Kota Serang. The method used for this research is quasi experimental using nonequivalent control group design, there are control classes and experimental classes, each with 37 students. The instrument used is a practical guide along with a practicum report assessment sheet. The results of the research showed hypothesis testing (t test) in both classes with a significance value of 0,000 <0,05, H0 rejected and Ha received. The average value of experimental class practical reports is 73.31 in the high category and the control class is as wide as 54.31 in the medium category. Based on the results of the research it can be concluded that there is an effect of practicum methods based on discovery learning on the ability to communicate on vibrational and wave material. | |||||||||
